Attending the Cannes Lions Festival has been an incredible journey, filled with innovative showcases and inspiring sessions. Among the many highlights, I'd like to share a few of the company beaches that made a lasting impression on me.
Amazon Port
At the Cannes Lions Festival, Amazon Port showcased nine of Amazon's businesses, including Amazon Ads, Amazon Influencers, Amazon Live, Amazon Music, AWS, Prime, and more. Among these, Amazon Live and Amazon Influencers left a particularly strong impression on me. Unlike TikTok, where any merchant can start their own live stream to sell products, Amazon Live streams are exclusively hosted by Amazon itself. All products are carefully vetted, and some deals are available only during these streams. This allows Amazon to maintain high product quality control, reduce management costs, and ensure its high-quality positioning in the e-commerce market, setting it apart from competitors.
Their Amazon Influencers program also creates synergies with Amazon Live, Ads, and their robust supply chain and e-commerce platform. By leveraging signed influencers, they connect products with advertising spaces effectively. Additionally, the name of Amazon Port impressed me deeply. They used the French name "A'Maison," which plays on the phonetic similarity to Amazon while integrating French cultural elements. It also creatively signifies that this is Amazon's venue, blending meaning and local flair.
Pinterest Beach
Pinterest Beach was one of the most fun and engaging areas I visited. They offered six interactive activities: painting Crocs, DIY T-shirts, DIY jerseys, DIY accessories, color tests, and a Lego workshop. These activities attracted a constant stream of visitors, allowing Pinterest to effectively convey its brand values and positioning to the public in a creative and engaging manner.

Meta Beach
Meta Beach was also one of the most popular spots. Here, I experienced their AI systems, the Quest 3, and their collaboration with Ray-Ban on smart glasses. Additionally, I watched a film about breaking out of comfort zones. This was a wonderful experience that showcased Meta's innovative technology and vision for the future.

Turkish Airlines
Near the Palais, Turkish Airlines had a smaller but equally intriguing exhibit. They produced a documentary featuring indigenous people from the Brazilian rainforest who had never traveled before. The documentary used instruments to monitor changes in their thoughts at various stages of their journey, offering insights into the primal human responses to travel. This exhibit highlighted the transformative power of travel and was a fascinating addition to the festival.

The Cannes Lions Festival is a melting pot of creativity and innovation, each exhibit offered valuable insights into the future of their respective fields. It was an amazing journey for me, and really I learned a lot. Thanks to NYU!!!
