The streets and corners of France are full of surprises. Even though I haven't approached this city with a rigorous attitude like doing a market research over the past two weeks, I have still gained many unexpected interesting experiences. With the support of diverse cultures and unique geographical locations, I'd like to piece together these memory fragments for completing a random record.

TABAC shops, not only the source for cigarettes, but also the phone cards
If you observe carefully, you will notice that many small shops near the streets in Paris hang a red diamond-shaped sign with the word ‘TABAC’. But the chance that brought me in was to buy a phone card. If I hadn’t searched online, I would never have imagined that phone cards were actually sold in TABAC shops. There are many other unexpected items appeared in the shop, such as stamps and lottery tickets - it's like a small functional organization. I've heard that people can also pay their bills there, and many TABAC shops even have cafes or bars. Isn’t it a very ‘French’ thing? TABAC really plays a very important role in French daily life!

Localization in Franprix - why is roast chicken so popular in France?
Local people’s eating habits can be roughly observed through the food available in their local supermarkets. One popular product that reflects this is the combination of roast chicken and potatoes sold in Franprix. Every noon, the aroma of roast chicken fills the air, emanating from the Franprix downstairs of our hotel. Additionally, brands like Bret's and Lay's offer roast chicken flavored potato chips, which may not be found in other countries. They are prominently displayed on the first row of shelves so that they can be seen as soon as you enter the supermarket. Roast chicken seems to become one of the symbols of Franprix localization.

The SIXT electric car with a parachute is suspended in the center of Nice Airport Hall
When you step into the Nice Airport, you will be immediately attracted by SIXT’s billboards and the huge car model nearby. The orange parachute tied to it conveys a bold and trustworthy brand image. It is worth mentioning that there is a clever wordplay incorporated into its slogan - ELECTRIC IS SO NICE. These strategically placed advertisements serve as a clear indicator, directly guiding customers to the SIXT rental center in the airport.
