Why This Was the Best Fashion Tech Demo I’ve Seen

Updated: Jun 27

Visiting Luxurynsight in Paris was a real highlight of the trip. As someone who’s worked in fashion and used trend forecasting platforms before, I thought I knew what data could do - but what we saw here was easily one of the best software demos I’ve experienced.

They walked us through a platform that breaks down everything from color and silhouette predictions to distribution and pricing strategies - all through a luxury lens. What makes it different is the mindset: unlike consumer brands that rely on social listening, search data, and mass trends, luxury plays by its own rules.

You may like orange,” their founder Jonathan Siboni told us, “but Hermès made you like orange.” And that’s the difference. The brand creates desire, not the consumer. So instead of tracking likes or trends, they focus on brand health, market presence, and internal KPIs like distribution, pricing, and visibility.

Their software collects and updates data automatically, pulling insights in real time. It’s used by some of the biggest names in the industry - LVMH, Dior, Chanel, Kering to name a few & all through a subscription-based model. I asked about competition, since so many of their clients are direct rivals, and they addressed it clearly: yes, everyone uses the same base, but many brands also layer it with internal tools. The data is neutral; it's what each brand does with it that sets them apart. Brands might have their own separate softwares, and this software might be a part of the database of research.

We also got a look at Heuritech, which blew me away with its ability to forecast trends up to 25 months in advance - analyzing visual data from social platforms to predict shifts in color, shape, texture, and product type with a 91% success rate.

I especially loved when Jonathan Siboni said that AI isn’t here to replace creativity, it’s here to enhance it. Just like how people once feared Photoshop or Excel, these tools aren’t the enemy. They simply let you do more, faster — and with more clarity. For anyone working at the intersection of creativity and strategy, this kind of tech is a game-changer.
