Unveiling European Digital Excellence: My Visit to EDG in Paris

My recent visit to the European Digital Group (EDG) headquarters in Paris opened my eyes to the world of European digital giants. Having spent the past six years in the Indonesian digital and tech space, stepping into EDG's European landscape was a masterclass in how things operate on a global scale.



One of the most fascinating aspects of the trip was delving into EDG's acquisition strategy. Witnessing how they meticulously select companies to join their fold, and the meticulous management style they employ to nurture their acquisitions, was incredibly insightful. It provided a fresh perspective on how a successful European digital group fosters growth within its portfolio.


But the learning didn't stop there. EDG generously opened the doors to Ores and Follow, two of their acquired companies. Immersing ourselves in their work environment and company culture was invaluable. It fostered a deeper understanding of how EDG integrates new companies while empowering them to thrive.



The cherry on top? My team and I were presented with a golden opportunity – the chance to present our very own idea! We pitched a strategic influencer marketing campaign for a supplement/vitamin gummies brand, receiving valuable feedback from EDG's experts. This real-world application of our knowledge was not only a learning experience but also a testament to EDG's commitment to fostering creative collaboration.


Overall, my visit to EDG in Paris was a whirlwind of learning and inspiration. It broadened my horizons on European digital strategies, showcased best practices in acquisition and management, and provided a platform to share our own ideas. This trip has undoubtedly equipped me with valuable knowledge and a fresh perspective that I'm eager to integrate into my future endeavors.
