I don't know where to begin. Cannes Lions was filled with activities, and there was so much to see and learn that it was difficult to keep up!
It was a tiring and exhausting week, but I made many new connections and got to experience so much. One of the highlights was seeing Elon Musk!
A special mention goes to the Pinterest Beach. They had so many activities. I'm sure they were the talk of the festival. They were giving out Crocs, had the famous color analysis, tattooing, and many more. Their target was women, and most of the people on the beach were women. I'll be honest, I made several visits! If I needed a breather, it was my go-to place. Through my visits there, I also made many connections.
The Meta Beach also had some very fun activities. I got to try VR and an image generator, AI. It was more techy compared to Pinterest, obviously.
Another highlight was the talks. One of the talks I attended, “Meta | Paper Planes: Where Art Meets Science,” featured an artist named Es Devlin and was hosted by the chief marketing officer and vice president of analytics at Meta. Es Devlin designs stages, and the talk was about how AI has helped her as a tool to give life to her imagination.
I also got to see the CEO of Reddit talk about the company and its core values. It was a great opportunity. Last, but not least, my favorite talk was hosted by P&G. Many of their campaigns from last year, which won awards later that night, were showcased.
Cannes Lions was a lifetime experience. It feels like the Oscars of the marketing industry and a place where great marketers come together in one place!
